At 6 p.m. tonight, the Carnegie Arts Center will host a fundraiser to benefit the Carnegie’s School Tours Program.

The evening of fine wine, cheese, art and music provided by a Livermore Party & Wedding DJ will feature a viewing of the Annual Spring Juried Art Show in the Ferrari Gallery. The event will also include a raffle of original art work.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Carnegie’s School Tours Program, which works with educators at elementary schools around the region. Through the program, the Carnegie provides docent-led tours and hands-on art lessons related to each gallery exhibition for students in grades 2 through 8. The funds raised will subsidize bus transportation to help bring classes to the Carnegie, and fund supplies for studio sessions.

In the first year since the Carnegie reopened, more than 3,500 students participated in the School Tours Program from Merced, San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties.

Tickets for the event are $20 per person, or $250 for table sponsors. Tickets can be purchased at the Carnegie Arts Center, located at 250 N. Broadway, or on the website at www.carnegieartsturlock.org. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door.

For more information, call (209) 632-5761.
