Vandals Strike Donnelly Park Three Times

TurlockCityNews.com

Vandals have struck the Donnelly Park east and west-side restrooms three times in the past week between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

City or Turlock Parks and Recreation Maintenance Supervisor Ray Garcia said the vandals sprayed graffiti on the walls of the restrooms. Graffiti is usually discovered early in the morning hours by city staff when they open public bathrooms.

Garcia says they immediately paint over the taggings – usually before the general public can even see the vandalism.

“It is very random and it just kind of depends on how often we get tagged. Sometimes we will go two or three weeks without anything and then sometimes we’ll get hit two or three times in one week. We like it when there is no graffiti,” said Garcia.

To report any information about the vandalism call the Turlock Police Department at (209) 668-1200.
