Throwback Thursday: Turlock Melon Carnival

Before there was the Stanislaus County Fair, there was the Melon Carnival in Turlock.

The Melon Carnival was a celebrated as far back as 1911. The carnival eventually turned into what we now call the Stanislaus County Fair.
