U.S. Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) will be be presented with a U.S. Chamber of Commerce Spirit of Enterprise award for his 2012 voting record.
The award presentation will occur at a Turlock Chamber of Commerce breakfast in August.
The “Eggs and Issues Breakfast” will look to honor Denham for his 92 percent voting record on designated “key votes,” established as priorities by the U.S. Chamber. On those votes, which address key business issues, the U.S. Chamber informs congressmen of the Chamber's position prior to the vote.
The breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Aug. 14 at the Turlock Golf and County Club, 10532 Golf Link Rd.
Following the breakfast and award presentation, Denham will stay for a roundtable discussion on immigration.
Tickets are $35. A six-seat table can be sponsored for $400, or bronze sponsors can purchase four seats for $300.
The breakfast is sponsored by Alliance for Affordable Services, a not-for-profit organization that looks to reduce product and service costs for small businesses through lobbying and group buying power.
