Enjoy a margarita under the moonlight while helping the Turlock Salvation Army during the upcoming Moonlight & Margaritas fundraiser – an event that sees all proceeds go directly back into the community.
Now in its third year, the Moonlight & Margaritas fundraiser expects to see approximately 350 people join in for the fun-filled evening which will include food catered by La Morenita Mexican Restaurant, unlimited margaritas, and unlimited Dust Bowl beer. Lavender lemonade and shaved ice will also be available for guests.
“We had about 300 people least year, bringing in about $12,000 that went directly back into our community,” said Kristin Bettencourt, one of the organizers of the event. “The Salvation Army Advisory Board continues to be overwhelmed by the generosity of our community, and are so grateful for the support of our events and the Salvation Army.”
The event, put on by the Turlock Salvation Army Advisory Board, will be held at Pageo Lavender Farm, located at 11573 Golf Rd. in Turlock, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 24.
According to Bettencourt, all of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Turlock Salvation Army, which sends 83% of its annual budget directly back to the Turlock community funding after-school programs, feeding the homeless, and more.
“Last year, in 2012, the events put on by the Salvation Army Advisory Board in Turlock raised over $288,000,” said Bettencourt. “The support of our efforts has been phenomenal.”
Guests can also participate in a raffle during the event, as well as an auction. Additionally, a live local band will be performing throughout the evening. A Party & Wedding DJ from Modesto will be playing as well.
Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at First Cal Mortgage, Yonan’s Jewelers, or Geiger’s Jewelers. Attendees must be 21 years of age and older.
