Retail giant Target is offering a way for schools across the country to make money through a social media-driven fundraiser known as “Give with Target”.

All Turlock schools (public and private) are on the website https://givewith.target.com/.

The process to vote is simple. Either vote with Facebook or Twitter (#GiveWithTarget) by visiting the site above, searching for a local school by name, city or zip code and casting a vote. Voters must be logged into Facebook or Twitter to vote.

After a school earns 25 votes Target will donate $25 to that school, and for each additional vote Target with match each vote with $1 for the school.

Participants can vote once per five days and voting closes September 21, or once Target reaches its national goal of $5 million for schools. As of last night Target had reached $1.65 million. A maximum of $10,000 can be awarded to a single school. Voting is limited to all states, to anyone 13 years of age and over. No purchase is necessary to vote.

As of last night, Walter Brown Elementary leads Turlock schools with 26 votes, followed by Walnut Elementary Education Center with 18 and Dennis Earl Elementary with 16, Osborn Elementary 9, Wakefield Elementary 9, Julien Elementary 8, Cunningham Elementary 7, Crowell Elementary 6, Sandra Medeiros Elementary 3, Turlock High School 2, Pitman High School 2, Turlock Junior High School 2, and Dutcher Middle School 1.
