For the second consecutive year, U.S. Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) will host a massive job fair.

There's one major difference from last year, though – this year's job fair will be held in Modesto, not Turlock.

The second annual Central Valley Job Fair will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 25, at Modesto Centre Plaza.

“The unemployment rate in Stanislaus County continues to hover around 12 percent,” said U.S. Rep. Denham. “I intend to do everything I can to help hiring employers meet with job seekers and prepare those looking for work to best present themselves.”

Last year's Central Valley Job Fair, the first ever, was held at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds in Turlock. The fair drew thousands of jobseekers and 47 businesses, each with real jobs they were hiring for.

This year's job fair will feature employers from a wide range of fields, Denham's office said, though specific numbers of employers are not yet available.

The job fair is being coordinated locally by the Stanislaus Economic Development and Workforce Alliance.

“Any way you slice it the Alliance is all about jobs – creating them and putting people to work,” said Teri Adams Jones, communications marketing manager for the Stanislaus Economic Development and Workforce Alliance. “Our unemployment rate may be dropping, but we still have a lot of good people looking for a job. That is why we are again working with Congressman Denham’s office to put on this job fair.”

Denham's office is also partnering with Brandman University to host workshops and seminars for job hunters. A resume clinic will be held a week before the fair, on Sept. 18, helping applicants to put their best face forward. Workshops will also discuss the interview process and job seeking.

A second workshop will be held for veterans and active-duty service members. Denham, an Air Force veteran, is a founding member of the bipartisan, bicameral Congressional Veterans Jobs Caucus.

I’d like to start this e-mail by doing a little bible study. I know the President and Harry Reid won’t like it, but maybe you Republicans will.

    First GOD said in DEUTERONOMY 17: 14 & 15.

“thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother”.

    ISAIAH 3: 1- 8

    ISAIAH 3:4

“And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them”.

    DANIEL 11:20

“Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.”

Read all of these chapters, it’s good bible study.

I personaly say let the President and Harry Reid69bcd shut the government down, and refuse to pay the government workers while they are off.

“LET THE PRESIDENT AND HARRY REID PAY THEM!”

When you are dealing with Children, treat them as Children!

    THNAK YOU
