For the fourth year in a row, California State University, Stanislaus will play host to a community-wide carnival intended to strengthen its relationship with the Turlock community.
CSU Stanislaus Associated Students, Inc. and the University Student Union will host the free 4th Annual STANFEST Community Carnival at the university’s main quad area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The family-friendly carnival will include games, bounce houses, face painting, airbrush tattoos, prizes, a magician, and more. Attendees can earn tickets from carnival games to win prizes. Parking is free and refreshments and food will be available for purchase.
The following Saturday, Sept. 21, the STANFEST Concert will feature a performance from Travis Porter, a hip-hop trio from Decatur, Georgia. Other music will include a Battle of the DJs, Nor Cal DJ vs. Bay Area DJ.
Tickets are free for CSU students and $12 in advance at the Warriors Activities Center until Sept. 20. Tickets are $15 at the gate. Attendees must be age 18 or over.
The concert takes place at the CSU Stanislaus Amphitheater and gates open at 6 p.m. and close at 8 p.m. The concert will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Parking is free and food and beverages will be available for purchase. No outside food or drinks are allowed.
