What drove you to run for the TID Board?
I am running for TID board because the District's water and power must be used to benefit our farmers, ratepayers and residents. Water is our most important resource, and an ample water supply, along with a reliable and renewable energy source in hydroelectric power, allows the agricultural economy to thrive while keeping power rates low.
What do you see as the single most pressing issue facing TID?
The relicensing of Don Pedro Dam. There are so many that want a part of our water and power supply, that we need to fight for good policies that will will shape the future of TID,and provide benefits for generations to come.
Why are you the best candidate for the Division 5 seat?
Because I will continue to fight to protect our water rights, while providing affordable and reliable electric service to all residents.
Through my involvement with Farm Bureau, Ag Leadership, and my last four years on the TID board, I have attended many workshops and meetings on water and power issues. These experiences have allowed me to gain knowledge so I can work for the TID residents, to keep rates as low as possible.
