Thomas Velazquez, 58, of Turlock was arrested for felony driving under the influence after he struck two vehicles Sunday afternoon at Main and Orange streets.
Turlock police report that Velazquez first struck a moving vehicle, then struck a parked car on the side of the street.
As he struck the parked car, a pregnant mother was in the driver seat along with a small child in the back seat. A 30-year-old male was standing on the passenger side of the car on the sidewalk, presumably after loading the small child into the back seat when the collision occurred. The man suffered major, non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The pregnant woman and small child were not seriously injured.
Velazquez also incurred non-life threatening suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital. No one else was hurt in the incident.
AT 58 YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER, YOU COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE .
I CERTAINLY HOPE THAT T.P.D. KEEPS AN EYE ON ALL THE DOWNTOWN DRINKING ESTABLISHMENTS.
DRUNK DRIVERS ARE LIKE COCKROACHES THEY NEVER DIE BUT INJURY AND KILL THE INNOCENT EVERY DAY.
