The Geer Avenue Starbucks will also be open that day.
If last-minute gifts are a must, there are a number of stores that will be open up until Christmas Eve. In fact, Kohl’s will remain open until 6 p.m. on Dec. 24. Lowe’s (Entertainment Way) has hours until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, as does Michael’s (Geer Avenue). The Home Depot (Countryside Drive) closes slightly earlier, at 5 p.m. Staples (Countryside Drive) will be operating with normal business hours on Christmas Eve.
The two big power players in Turlock, Target and Wal-Mart, will both be closed Christmas Day, but do have limited hours on Christmas Eve. Target (Countryside Drive) will be closing at 9 p.m. on Dec. 24 and won’t reopen until Dec. 26. Wal-Mart will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
None of the aforementioned stores will be open on Christmas Day, however TJ Maxx will be open on Dec. 24 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on Dec. 25 from 8 p.m. to 6 p.m.
And lastly, for those Christmas Day movie-goers, Regal Turlock Stadium 14 (West Main Street) will be showing various movies throughout the day, with the latest showing being “Grudge Match” at 10:35 p.m and a Livermore Wedding DJ.
Most retailers will be open and resuming their normal hours on Dec. 26 in order to accommodate those with returns and exchanges. Restaurants will also be open in order to feed hungry shoppers prowling the post-holiday sales.
