The man suspected of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl he found on Instagram is on the run from Turlock police, with a warrant issued for his arrest.
Eladio G. Ramirez Tizoc, 22, of Modesto, was arrested Dec. 4 on two counts of sodomy, two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior, penetration with a foreign object and unlawful sexual intercourse. He is currently listed on the Stanislaus Area Crime Stoppers' Most Wanted List.
Tizoc is described as a Hispanic male, 5-foot, 7-inches tall, 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was born Aug. 30, 1991.
Tizoc allegedly met the victim when he started following and then commenting on the girl’s Instagram when she was 13 years old. He eventually arranged to meet up with her.
According to Turlock Police Department spokesperson Mayra Lewis, Tizoc met with the girl four times when he picked her up at her Turlock and Ceres homes. Her parents were unaware the girl was leaving the house with him.
The girl’s parents later said they were unaware the girl had access to Instagram, and claimed the girl’s grandmother had given her a cell phone in secret.
“This is the first case related to Instagram TPD has investigated,” Lewis said at the time of his arrest. “We want everyone in Turlock and surrounding cities to know that there are sexual predators out there waiting for an opportunity to commit these type of crimes.”
