Barbara Bohannon
May 1935 – February 2014

Barbara Bohannon, 78, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at her residence in Denair, CA. She was born May 18, 1935, in Oklahoma to Gilbert and Lola Ewing. She graduated from High School in Kansas in 1953. She married Elmer Lee Bohannon Jr. in 1960. Elmer was an Evangelist and a Missionary. Barbara received her Doctorate degree and was a Missionary before becoming a teacher for over 20 years. She settled in Denair 30 years ago. She belonged to Bethel Temple, now called Harvest Christian Center.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Elmer Bohannon III of Pasadena, CA, Kemuni Griffin of Austin, Texas, and Sean Bohannon of Denair, CA; three grandchildren; and four sibling, Karlene Ewing of Visalia, Mary Trumbo of Senatobia, Mississippi, Calvin Ewing of Tulare, Ca, and Donald Ewing of Henderson, NV. She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer Lee Bohannon Jr.

Visitation will be from 10am – 5pm on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Allen Mortuary.

A graveside service will be held at 10am on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
