More shopping carts have been found away from their proper home.

These Big Lots carts were found in a flock of six or seven at the Lakeside Apartments in Turlock.

In Turlock, it is illegal to leave a cart at any location other than the proper retail establishment, alter a shopping cart, including removing the serial numbers, or be in possession of a cart while the cart is not on the proper premises. Violation of these laws can result in a sizable fine, but they are rarely enforced.

Citizens can call Neighborhood Services at 209-664-7348 if there are abandoned carts in their neighborhood.
