Get ready for a drive-thru experience to beat all others.
A Yogurt Mill and Little Caesar’s Pizza combination drive-thru will soon open near the intersection of Geer Road and Minnesota Avenue, inside the Save Mart Geer Gardens shopping center. The eateries are scheduled to open between late fall 2014 and early 2015.
The location, which previously housed Carr’s Cleaners, will feature the two establishments side-by-side with Yogurt Mill on the south side. A wraparound drive-thru will allow customers the opportunity to get both pizza and yogurt, or just one of the two.
Yogurt Mill founder Larry Young says Yogurt Mill operates three locations in Modesto and has been looking to expand into Turlock.
“So many people have been asking us to come to Turlock, and we are excited to have this location in the heart of Turlock’s established area. This is really cool, you can get a pizza and get a yogurt,” he said. “We are really hoping to provide a lot of value to college students. We offer more value for the money and we are known for large, quality portions for a fair price.”
The Yogurt Mill will have a meeting room and both indoor and outdoor seating. Yogurt Mill’s winter hours will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. In the summer months they will remain open until 10:30 p.m. on weeknights and midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Young says the Little Caesars in University Plaza, 2685 Geer Rd, will be relocating to the new Geer Gardens location and he is unaware of their hours of operation at this time. A supervisor of the University Plaza location could only confirm they would be moving to the new location.
Young noted that he was pleased with the City of Turlock for help during the permitting process.
“We are very happy with the City of Turlock, I have nothing but high praise for them and how they helped to facilitate this project,” said Young.
