The Turlock Police Department is warning Turlockers of a rise in daytime auto burglaries on the north side of Turlock, and is asking residents to help prevent more burglaries.

There have been two auto burglaries on consecutive days, Tuesday and Wednesday, on Honeycreeper Drive roughly between 1 and 2 p.m.

Turlock Police Department spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis reminds citizens to park their vehicles in a safe location, preferably in the garage. If the garage is unavailable, the driveway is the next safest spot.

If neither location is available, cars should be parked where theycan be seen, near a window, says Lewis.

It is also important to close and lock all doors and windows and never leave valuables in plain sight.

The Turlock Police Department asks that citizens report all suspicious activity to the non-emergency dispatch at 209-668-5550. If you see a burglary in progress, call 9-1-1 and do not intervene.

Anyone with information on the auto burglaries on Honeycreeper Drive is asked to call 209-668-5550.
