Main St. Footers created a buzz on social media last Tuesday, floating the possibility of outdoor summer concerts at the restaurant.

“How many of you would be interested in coming to a night time concert with a local band in front of Main St. Footers during the Summer on Friday night?” the local eatery posted on its Facebook Page. “We would have a local band with the seating on our patio outside serving a few menu items through our window. What better way to spend a beautiful warm summer night?”

The mere suggestion generated more than 350 likes in less than 12 hours on Facebook, with 56 comments – most proclaiming “yes!” and “great idea!”

Apparently the thought of hot dogs, cold drinks and live tunage on a summer Friday night is appealing to Turlock residents and Footer’s customers. Who can blame them? Life doesn’t get much better than that.

Main St. Footers co-owner Lisa Wilson says talks to implement the plan are very premature at this point. She also says she isn’t sure how downtown would feel about people just hanging out until 11 p.m.

For more information, or to express support for the idea, call Main St. Footers at 209-667-8383 or visit Main St Footers on Facebook.
