Turlockers can now treat themselves to boba tea, right here in Turlock. Chong's Cuisine, located at 1801 Countryside Dr., is now serving boba bubble tea in a variety of flavors.

Also known as bubble tea, pearl milk tea, or boba milk tea, boba bubble tea is a hot or cold tea mixed with tapioca balls, or simply boba, that usually sit in the bottom. The boba make for a chewy treat.

Boba bubble tea was originally created in tea shops in Taichung, Taiwan. Most consist of a tea base mixed with fruit flavor or milk.
