Two vehicles rolled off Highway 99 in separate incidents Tuesday afternoon during wet and rainy conditions.
The first vehicle, a black sports car, drove off Highway 99 just past the overpass at Monte Vista Avenue.
The vehicle was traveling northbound on Highway 99 about 3:12 p.m. when it went off the roadway and ended up at the bottom of the embankment between the highway and the on-ramp.
A tow truck had to pull the sports car out of the 50-foot embankment. The black vehicle was the only vehicle involved the accident and no injuries have been reported from the accident.
The second incident occurred just six minutes later and one exit over.
A silver Chevy Cobalt overturned on the northbound Taylor Road on-ramp and landed on the edge of on-ramp and embankment, according to California Highway Patrol traffic reports.
Had the vehicle rolled down the embankment, it would have ended in the rear parking lot of the Best Western Plus Orchard Inn on Golden State Boulevard.
CHP had to briefly close the northbound Taylor Road on-ramp while vehicle was recovered.
Minor injuries were reported from the Cobalt accident, but the nature of the injuries are unknown at this time. It is uncertain if anyone was transported to an area hospital.
The cause of either accident has not been reported by the CHP.
