Turlock’s CrossFit ParaBellum and the California Highway Patrol are teaming up to present “Partners,” a workout fundraiser competition to support the families of fallen California Highway Patrol Officers Juan Gonzalez, 33, and Brian Law, 34. Both officers died in the line of duty Feb. 17 when their cars careened into a guardrail on Highway 99, south of Fresno.

The fundraiser requires a $20 minimum donation to participate and will be held at 10 a.m. May 3 at the CrossFit ParaBellum gym, 1400 Venture Ln., Turlock. Doors will open at 9 a.m.

Two-person teams will compete to complete as many reps as possible in 15 minutes of a 400-meter relay, 20 partner deadlifts, a 150-meter buddy carry and 20 partner burpees. Participant weights will be announced at the event, and all movements can be scaled.

Prizes will be awarded for the top scoring teams.
