Before the candidates for Stanislaus County Sheriff and District Attorney face off in the June 3 election, they will square off in two debates.

Incumbent Stanislaus County District Attorney Birgit Fladager will face off against Frank Carson, a Modesto-based attorney and businessman. And incumbent Stanislaus County Sheriff-Coroner Adam Christianson will square off with Tom Letras, a deputy sheriff from Ceres.

All four candidates will meet for the first debate, hosted by the Modesto Chamber of Commerce, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kirk Lindsey Center, 1020 10th St., Ste. 102, Modesto.
