Around Turlock – April 21

Brandon McMillan/|

Work to repave Monte Vista Avenue in front of California State University, Stanislaus began Monday, and traffic is already a mess.

Monte Vista Avenue is being repaved between Crowell and Geer roads, including a little between Geer Road and James Lane, and is currently down to one lane in each direction.

There will be at least one lane open in each direction during the duration of the roadwork, but traffic will slowed down.

The repaving is expected to be completed by April 25.

What a waste of money, Lets fix whats not broken, Here's whats wrong with the roads. The money goes to repave the same sections of town that dont need it while the truly messed up roads get purposely ignored.
