The shopping center on the corner of Monte Vista Avenue and Geer Road, which now houses a CVS Pharmacy, came to be in 2009 after Liberty Market was torn down.

Liberty Market closed in 2008, after about 48 years of business in Turlock.

Around the same time, CVS Caremark purchased Longs Drug Stores Corp. CVS announced they would move the Longs location at 2405 Geer Rd., now housing Fallas Discount Stores, to the Liberty Market center in 2009.

Liberty Market was demolished in 2009 and CVS was built and opened later that year.
