Around Turlock – May 10

Hundreds of people converged on the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds Saturday afternoon to get a taste of more than 100 beers available at this year’s Central Valley Brewfest.

Breweries from all around the Central Valley, including Turlock’s Dust Bowl Brewing Co. and Sandude Brewing Co. and Merced’s Bobcat Brewing Co., and beyond brought their best beers to be tried by all of the beer snobs in the area.

Along with the more than 100 brews available this year, there were a few special brews released at Brewfest. Dust Bowl released a collaboration with Rock 96.7, a special brew called “Shame and Desperation,” and 10 EAST Kitchen and Tap Room collaborated with Tioga Sequoia Brewing Co. to release a special version of the Rush Hour Breakfast Porter that was cask conditioned with toasted coconut and vanilla beans.

The CVBrewfest is expected to return next year with all the brews and fun.
