Permits Completed for Monte Vista Crossings Expansion, Anchors to Open by Christmas

All permit work has been completed for the impending expansion of Monte Vista Crossings, Turlock Assistant to the City Manager for Housing and Economic Development Maryn Pitt confirmed Tuesday.

The work should clear the way for the expansion’s two anchor tenants, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store, to open by Christmas, Pitt said.

The 108,907 square-foot expansion of Monte Vista Crossings broke ground in early March, just after an anticipated Feb. 15 groundbreaking. The developer, Hall Equities Group, had hoped to provide construction pads for their anchor tenants by the end of April, but the timeline was slightly pushed back.

Phase II of Monte Vista Crossings is located just south of Kohl's and The Olive Garden, in the square of land bordered by Highway 99, Countryside Drive, and Tuolumne Road.

In addition to the two anchors, the development has been confirmed to include the following: a Tilly’s surf and skate apparel store; a Kirkland’s home décor store; a Maurice’s women’s clothing shop; a Justice and Brothers tween apparel location; and, a factory-owned Sprint cellphone shop. The development will also include six currently unidentified stores and a restaurant.

The developer should be out there with a water truck today, what a dust bowl.
Hey Amy would you jump on that please?

  2. It's an election year and Bublak is running, she'll pay attention says:

Don’t worry, Bublak is on it. After she takes down all of her illegal signs around the county. What is she running for? Her only court experience will be with the FPPC and ethics violations. Would you really trust her to appraise your house, when her current job is work as a school officer, she doesn’t even patrol the streets of Modesto. Did she really flunk her sargeant’s tests multiple times? The rules don’t apply to Bublak or her friends.

The only way I would vote for her is if she had to give up her council seat
