Two men with warrants were arrested by Turlock police on May 11th after fleeing from a traffic stop while riding bicycles.

Turlock police stopped George Aguiniga, 49, and Joao Duarte, 35, for a traffic violation while the two were riding bikes in the 700 block of North Tully Road, near Canal Drive, at 7:57 a.m. May 11th.

After being stopped, both suspects fled from the scene. Aguiniga fled on foot and Duarte fled on his bicycle.

Both suspects were caught and arrested a short distance away, one on Tully Road and the other on Porter Way, said Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb.
