Stanislaus County Fair to Feature Mobile Device Charging Station

The Stanislaus County Fair and Modesto Toyota have partnered to bring this summer’s guests a charging station for their mobile devices.

The ReCharge Modesto Toyota Lounge is this year’s newest feature and hopes to make time at the Fair more device-friendly.

“We wanted to bring convenience and ease to our guests by providing a charging station that would allow them to not only relax in the lounge but charge their phones,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “Now you will be able to capture all the Fair’s greatest moments and not have to worry about a low battery.”

The lounge will be located in concessions row, across from the Free Stage concert area. It will be open daily from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays and noon to 11 p.m. weekends.

The Stanislaus County Fair opens July 11 for a 10-day run. Discounted Fair admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands, and season passes are available now.

I would recommend that everyone think about where you are plugging in your phone to charge at a random location or a "charging station". As a mobile programmer and discipline in CS, this is something that can easily be modified to install/unload harmful software onto your mobile device -especially when its direct access using usb port. Think twice, and just keep your phone charged at home.
