U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) will hold a “Twitter town hall meeting” on Friday morning to discuss the border surge with members of the 10th district.
“It is clear that the influx of unaccompanied minors needs to be addressed and that the border is not secure,” said Denham. “I have always said border security must be our top priority. It has to be the starting point for top-to-bottom immigration reform to fix our broken system.”
On Friday, June 27, Denham led a bipartisan delegation to the California-Mexico border to get a first-hand look at the ongoing situation. He also visited the San Ysidro Port of Entry and Chula Vista Area of Responsibility.
During Friday’s Twitter town hall event, Denham will be discussing his visit to the border and answering questions from constituents regarding border security, immigration reform, and the humanitarian crisis at the border.
