After a fight broke out at Staley’s Club early on Sunday, one suspect decided to run from Turlock police, leading to his arrest.

Turlock police responded to Staley’s, located at 426 E. Main St., on the report of a fight around 1:34 a.m.

When officers arrived, David Vasquez, 22, allegedly attempted to run from Turlock police.

Vasquez was eventually apprehended by officers and was subsequently arrested for resisting or delaying an investigation.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb, the fight was a “mutual combat” and neither party involved wished to press charges.

There were no injuries reported in the fight, said Webb.

If they don't find you and you go in on your own, no charges will come upon you. I know this from experience.

This is NOT always true. Police usually (they must arrest for certain violations) ALWAYS have the discretion to charge as the facts warrant.
