The Turlock Police Department has released an update on the investigation of the murder-suicide on Red Oak Court, however little remains known at this time.
In the update, Turlock police announced that, with the help of the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office, they have determined the cause of death for two of the victims. However, at this time, they will not be releasing the cause of death for the two victims, as the murder-suicide remains an active investigation.
The Turlock Police Department added the cause of death of the other two victims is pending pathology and toxicology reports.
The update also confirmed what TurlockCityNews.com reported on July 12, that the Coroner’s Office has positively identified three of the victims Rozmary Babakhan, 70, Robert Babakhan, 42, and Rodney Babakhan, 39, and has tentatively identified the fourth victim, Sarkis Babakhan, 78.
The Turlock Police Department had previously kept their lips sealed on the investigation, and this is the first information released by the agency since the day the bodies were discovered.
The first body was found by an unknown relative at approximately 10 p.m. on June 26 after not hearing from the family for some time. The other three bodies were found by Turlock Police Department who responded after the relative found the first body. Turlock police declared the incident a murder-suicide on June 27.
The Turlock Fire Department is also investigating an element of arson present in the home.
