Two Suspects Arrested Attempting to Steal Motorhome


Two males were spotted attempting to steal a motorhome on Sunday evening while the owners were not home.

Turlock police responded to a residence on the 300 block of Olive Avenue at approximately 7:28 p.m. after witnesses spotted subjects attempting to tow away a motorhome at the residence.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb, the witness reported the theft as they knew the owners of the motorhome were not home.

Officers arrived and located two male suspects, Gary Bends, 34, and Gary Arnold, 36, attempting to tow away the motorhome.

Turlock police arrested Bends, the driver, for auto theft.

Arnold, Bends’s passenger, was arrested for two felony domestic violence warrants out of the Modesto Police Department.
