Turlock police arrested a suspect after he was seen stealing an item out of an unlocked car on Friday afternoon.
A witness spotted a suspect, later identified as Joseph Poma, 32, allegedly steal an item out of an unlocked car on the 1100 block of Pioneer Avenue.
The theft was reported to the Turlock Police Department at approximately 12:34 p.m. and officers responded to the area.
Turlock police were able to locate a subject matching the description given by the witness at Crane Park, and apprehended the suspect.
Poma was additionally identified by the witness, said Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb.
Poma was arrested for a felony warrant and petty theft with a prior.
Earlier this month, on the Fourth of July, Poma was arrested when he discarded some heroin after spotting police while walking.
