Aspiranet will hold a grand re-opening for the Turlock Family Resource Center on Aug. 7 at 3 p.m. at its new location at 2160 Geer Rd.
The event is free and open to the anyone who wishes to attend. There will be a “Story Time” presented by the Turlock Library, guest speakers, healthy snacks, fun activities, raffles including prizes such as children’s backpacks, informational booths on the services at TFRC, and a ribbon cutting ceremony.
TFRC provides free assistance to children, low-income families and pregnant women in the Turlock area.
TFRC’s free services include: parent education groups, school readiness programs, prenatal education, developmental screenings, and an on-site computer lab that allows members of the community a chance to search for employment, learn typing and office skills, budgeting and resume building.
Childcare is available for clients to attend classes at TFRC and classes are available in both English and Spanish.
