Police Confirm Victim in Fatal Train Collision was on Bicycle

A male adult was a hit and killed by a train on Saturday night, however little details have been released by police on the incident.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. at the railroad tracks near A and S. First streets.

At the time, Turlock police could not confirm if a bike at the scene belonged to the victim, however, on Sunday Turlock police spokesperson Cpl. Dave Shaw did confirm that the victim was on bicycle when he was fatally hit.

The collision is currently under investigation by the major accident investigation team, who will determine if the incident was a suicide.

The victim’s identity is still unknown at this time.
