U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) will hold a United States Military Academy Information Night to give interested students an overview of the nomination process for applying to one of the United States military academies. The event will take place Aug. 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Joseph A. Gregori High School in Modesto.

“Each year I have the honor of nominating exemplary Central Valley students to our nation’s military academies,” said Denham. “The academies provide young people with extensive preparation to succeed in our armed forces. Military Academy Information Night is the best resource available for students and parents interested in learning more about how nominations work.”

The Information Night takes place each year and is open to all parents and students in grades eight through 12 from California’s 10th Congressional District. Those students interested in applying to: the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, or the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point will be able to meet with representatives from the academies and Denham’s office for details of each academy’s work educating, training, and preparing students for military service.

This site is as bad as Fox News.

All we see is republicans like denham, Olsen, cannella and now Soiseth. Looks like the republicans have bought the media.

Guest, you have Modesto Bee, Turlock Journal, CBS, NBC and ABC. but you complain just because two publications do not support your views? Do your homework first. Eggman to Confess? You mean Congress?

Brian, I totally agree with your comment. That guest comment was probably from a democrat who wants another handout. Had a phone call from an Eggman call bank today. They basically begged me to change my vote.
Cannot sway my vote. I’m voting for Jeff Denham. Fiscally conservative.

Yup tired of all the handouts, section 8, food stamps, welfare to work, obama phones , obama care and now Jerry Brown is giving out free diapers all of them are broken systems and full of fraud.
The democrats are breaking the bank, all of these people do not take any responsibility for their actions and keep getting rewarded for being screw ups.
P.S. I do not support measure B either to fix Turlocks roads.
