After spotting police, a wanted burglar hid in a residential attic late Monday afternoon, but was ultimately located and arrested.

At approximately 4:12 p.m. on Monday, an officer recognized a known wanted suspect, Michael Moss, 20, on the 1300 block of Lambert Way.

Upon seeing the officer, Moss fled into a residence on the block, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

Police went to the residence, where the owner of the home allowed the officers to search the home for Moss, said Lewis.

According to Lewis, Moss was located in the attic of the residence and was apprehended without further incident.

Moss was arrested and booked for an active felony warrant for burglary and a misdemeanor warrant for domestic violence.
