Many are familiar with the pink ribbons for breast cancer awareness, but few know about the gold ribbons that are the international symbol for childhood cancer awareness.

The Avalos family lost their 11-year-old daughter, Isabel Avalos, in August 2013 and are going gold in memory of their daughter and to raise awareness for pediatric cancer.
