A head-on collision just outside of Turlock on Wednesday morning hospitalized two drivers, with one victim being airlifted from the scene.
The Turlock Police Department responded to the intersection of Linwood Avenue and Washington Road at approximately 8:39 a.m.
According to Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, a Honda veered into the opposite lane when it collided head-on with a Ford.
The Honda was traveling northbound on Washington Road while the Ford was traveling southbound, said Lewis.
The two drivers, both female, were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
The driver of the Honda had to be airlifted from the scene, said Lewis.
At this time, drugs or alcohol do not appear to be involved, said Lewis.
