The Turlock Rural Fire Department are hosting a hiring event on Sept. 29 as they look for volunteers.
The hiring event will take place at 6 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Turlock Rural Fire Department, located at 690 W. Canal Dr.
Volunteers are required to be 21 years old or older, live within the city of Turlock or within the Turlock Rural Fire District, possess a valid California driver’s license, and pass a background and drug test.
At the hiring event, applicants should be prepared to fill out an application, to take a physical agility test, to have a panel interview, and to have an interview with a fire chief.
Firefighter and EMT certifications are not required for testing.
