Two car wash fundraisers are being held on Friday in Turlock for the victim who was stabbed and killed near Denair on Sept. 14.
Alejandro Maldonado, 21, was stabbed at a birthday party he was hosting for a friend after he escorted an uninvited guest off the property on the 3100 block of Barnhart Road near Denair.
Maldonado and the uninvited guest allegedly got into a physical altercation when Maldonado was stabbed, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.
According to authorities, Maldonado was transported to Emanuel Medical Center, but died of the stab wounds.
To help raise funds for Maldonado’s funeral, two car washes will be held on Friday in Turlock beginning at 8 a.m., reports Central Valley TV. One will be held at Wendy’s, located 2395 Geer Rd., and the other will be held at the 10 Minute Lube & Oil, located at 1398 Geer Rd.

According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, the suspect, who remains at-large, was described as a white adult male in his 20s with red hair, red beard, standing approximately 5 feet, 6 inches, and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red baseball hat, red plaid long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and boots. The suspect was spotted leaving the area in an unknown white passenger-style vehicle.
