Some Turlockers have began to form a line outside of the AT&T store, located at 2858 W. Monte Vista Ave., in hopes of getting their hands on the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus on release day.
Pre-orders for Apple’s newest release began on Sept. 12, with Apple and its carriers receiving a record number of orders.
Apple announced that more than four million iPhones had been ordered in the first 24 hours, exceeding the initial pre-order supply.
For those who missed the initial pre-orders on Sept. 12, there’s only one chance to get your hands on an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus — wait in line.
A limited number of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will be available to customers on Friday.
Turlockers have come out to the AT&T store to try their luck when the store opens at 8 a.m.
As of 11:15 p.m., approximately 25 people were camping out in line — with the first group arriving around 5 p.m.
Apple’s website quotes a three to four week delay on the phone, with Turlock AT&T customers being told the wait for the phone could be until November — arriving right around the dreaded holiday shopping season.
Customers at the Turlock AT&T store in Monte Vista Crossings eager to pre-order the new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus on Sept. 12 while employees work to accommodate the demand.
