This was the second accident this week where a fire hydrant was destroyed. On Sept. 13, a single vehicle collided with a fire hydrant outside of Monte Vista Chapel, sending water gushing into the air. No injuries or arrests were reported from the accident.
Several other fire hydrants have been destroyed in vehicle collisions during the summer months, including one that caused $50,000 in damage to a Turlock home.
That is one way to catch a drunk driver. Need to install a few more around the Red Brick.
