Suspect Found with Narcotics After Traffic Stop

Turlock police located narcotics during a search after pulling over a driver with a suspended license on Tuesday evening.

Officers made a traffic stop on a subject driving on the 700 block of North First Street at approximately 6:49 p.m.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, the driver allegedly made an unsafe turning maneuver.

When officers contacted the driver, Jose Mota, 28, they found that his license had been suspended, reports the Turlock Police Department.

During their search, officers found that Mota was allegedly in illegal possession of Xanax and Methadone.

Mota was arrested and booked for illegal possession of Xanax and Methadone.
