It’s that time of year — time to sprint for the Turlock Salvation Army!
Registration for the fourth annual Salvation Army Kettle Dash is now open. This year’s Kettle Dash will be held Nov. 8 and feature a new category — the first ever 1K Dog Walk, sponsored by Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital.
The Kettle Dash will be held Saturday, Nov. 8 with registration and t-shirt pick up beginning at 7:30 a.m. The Kids FREE Fun Run will be held at 8:45 a.m., followed by the 5K Run/ Walk and the 10K Kettle Dash — both at 9 a.m. The 1K Dog Walk will begin at 10 a.m.
The first 300 people to register will receive a goodie bag filled with gifts, food and money-saving coupons. All 5K and 10K entrants will receive a long-sleeve “Tec” shirt and all dogs registered for the dog walk will receive a dog bandana.
Registration fees are $30 for the 5k, $35 for the 10K and $20 for the 1K Dog Walk. All proceeds will go to the good work being done by the Salvation Army Turlock Corps.
Participants can register the morning of the event or the night before at the pre-race packet pick up, which will be held Nov. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Century 21 M&M Associates, 331 E. Main St. Registration can also be completed through mail. This year’s race will begin at West Main Street and Broadway Avenue and go north by the Fairgrounds before returning back to Downtown and the finish line.
