Hilmar Cheese Company, Inc. will hold a hiring fair for full-time entry-level production employees and supervisors at the Turlock War Memorial, at 247 E. Canal Dr., on Tuesday, Oct. 28 with sessions starting promptly at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The company is hiring for both the soon-to-be opened milk powder plant in Turlock and the Hilmar location.
“We will be providing qualified candidates, who pass testing and the interviews, with contingent offers of employment before they leave the event,” said Hilmar Cheese Director of Human Resources Lisa Smith.
Employees will work 12-hour rotating shifts; including nights, weekends and holidays. Employees are directly involved in making cheese and whey products, and job duties will include operating production equipment, monitoring controls and maintaining food safety and quality.
“We look for people who are mechanically inclined, have the ability to follow processes to perform operations and who enjoy working in a team environment,” Smith said.
Minimum qualifications include the legal right to work in the U.S., a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of steady job history.
Those interested in participating need to bring a completed application, which can be found here, along with a driver’s license or valid ID and social security number.
Hilmar Cheese offers competitive pay and benefits including health, retirement and more.
