As we approach the end of October, the first phase of the much-anticipated Monte Vista Crossings expansion is nearing completion and more stores are beginning to open their doors, including Dick’s Sporting Goods who have big plans for their opening.
Kirkland’s was the first store in the expansion to welcome shoppers, opening a couple of weeks ago.
Since then, both Styles for Less and Maurice’s have open their respective doors.
Dick’s Sporting Goods, one of two anchor tenants at the expansion, is planning their three-day grand opening to begin on Friday, Oct. 31 and run through Sunday, Nov. 2.
Former San Francisco Giants manager Dusty Baker will make an in-store appearance on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Along with Baker’s in-store appearance, Dick’s will be giving away many items throughout the weekend.
On Friday, the first 100 people in line will be eligible for a free Reebok Play Dry® t-shirt. Also, those in line by 7:45 a.m. will get a chance to open the Dick’s Sporting Goods Gift Locker.
Giveaways on Saturday and Sunday include a Mystery Gift Card from $5 to $500 for the first 100 adults in line. Guests in line by 7:45 a.m. on both days will also get a chance to open the Dick’s Sporting Goods Gift Locker.
"Dick's Sporting Goods is excited to become a member of the Turlock community with the opening of our newest location," said Lauren Hobart, Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, Dick's Sporting Goods. "We look forward to serving the athletes and outdoor enthusiasts in Turlock and inspiring them to achieve their personal best."
Dick’s will open at 8 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. on Sunday. For more information on the Dick’s grand opening, click here.
The expansion’s second anchor tenant, Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft store, has announced that it will be opening its doors on Nov. 7.
Other stores in the expansion include Justice and Brothers, which will be opening in the coming weeks, along with Skechers. Tilly’s was originally estimated to open in mid-October, but has yet to open.
