A driver booked it a little too quickly to Lightly Used Books on Tuesday morning and ended up crashing through the storefront.
The report came in shortly after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, after the 88-year-old driver of a Toyota Camry collided into the Downtown Business.
According to Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, the driver mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brakes while parking in front of Lightly Used Books.
The driver did not sustain any injuries in the collision, however the store sustained quite a bit of damage.
Despite the damage, the business was in good spirits about the damage.
“Where is the automotive section?” Lightly Used Books asked on their Facebook page with a photo of the damage.
Repairs to the storefront began on Tuesday, but the business expects to be closed for a few days.
“We will be closed for a few days due to a car parked in our window LOL,” the business posted on their Facebook.
