A sign now stands in the place of a tree that was clipped by a semi truck traveling down Geer Road on Tuesday evening.

The trailer of the truck caught the tree, and cable and phone lines, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis. No one was injured in the collision.

The tree, which had been damaged in the collision and had done plenty of damage to the sidewalk, has now been chopped down.
