After ten grueling weeks of high school football, both the Turlock High School Bulldogs (6-4, 4-1 CCC) and Pitman HIgh School Pride (7-2, 3-2 CCC) have made it to the playoffs.
While the Bulldogs clinched a playoff berth after a dominating win in Friday’s Harvest Bowl, the Pride had to hope their strong season was enough to get into the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs.
The Division I Sac-Joaquin Section playoff brackets were announced on Saturday and both Turlock and Pitman will be on the road for first round playoff games.
The No. 10 seeded Bulldogs will travel Tracy to take on the No. 7 Tracy High School Bulldogs (7-3), in a highly anticipated rematch.
In September, Turlock fell just short of an epic comeback against Tracy, losing 43-41 at Joe Debely Stadium.
The winner of this matchup will take on the winner of the game between No. 2 Jesuit High School Marauders and No. 15 Gregori High School Jaguars.
The No. 11 Pride, who received an at-large bid to the playoffs, will travel to face the No. 6 Napa High School Indians (8-2).
Whoever wins this game will face the winner of the matchup between No. 3 Granite Bay High School Grizzlies and No. 14 Chavez High School Titans.
Turlock will face Tracy at Tracy High School, located at 315 E. 11th St. in Tracy, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14.
Pitman will play Napa on Friday, Nov. 14 at Napa High School, located at 2475 Jefferson St. in Napa.
