The City of Turlock – Development Services Department has announced that the road closure at Dianne Drive and Fulkerth Road is set to reopen on schedule.
Fulkerth Road between Tegner Road and Auto Mall Drive, as well as Dianne Drive between West Main Street and Fulkerth Road, have been closed since Sept. 10.
Crews have been hard at work to complete the project, which will directly connect Auto Mall and Dianne drives; previously, both roads were offset by approximately 100 feet, with both dead-ending into Fulkerth Road.
The new road segment will be 76 feet wide with bike lanes.
Originally, the project was slated to be completed by Halloween, but that date was pushed back.
On Thursday, the City of Turlock – Development Services Department announced that the road closures would be reopened as scheduled on Nov. 14.
Upon reopening, a temporary four-way stop will be put in place until the traffic signal is finalized. Before the construction, there was a four-way stop at the previously offsetting intersection.
Recently, the City of Turlock Planning Commission approved a $10 million, 30,000 square-foot brewery expansion for the Dust Bowl Brewing Company at the intersection.
